Anybody use this blend? Those that have gone TTTF route, do you prefer a monostand or mix like this? Seems like a good group of cultivars at a competitive price.

I'm now curious about the blend. Looks very similar to United Seed Store's Super Turf I blend (at least, 4th Millenium and Titanium are the same). Twin Cities is $25 cheaper! Grizz, good experience with the seed you bought from them? They had a sales guy on here a couple weeks ago just pushing product and that gave me a bad feeling but if they are legit and you had a good experience, then maybe it's worth checking them out.

edibly dark color, really stands out in my yard anywhere I have a big patch of it. Makes me want to reno.
Update, Twin Cities is sending me a new bag of PRG seeds, and I am 90% sure I got TTTF and my bag was mislabeled. Doing a test pot to confirm 100% but it's essentially confirmed.
It actually looks like k31 now that I think of it. Whatever it is could have been in the top soil you brought in.

Both Super Turf (what I use now) and RESILIENCE have 4th Millennial and Titanium G-LS. The other two Tall Fescues in the blends are all alternatives from Mountain View Seeds and also reputable options.

Premium Turf-type Tall Fescue Grass Seed for Athletic Fields (mtviewseeds.com)

Super Turf I includes Firecracker G-LS and Dynamite G-LS, while Resilience includes Avenger III and Spyder 2.
The "G" means the cultivar is resistant to "Grey Leaf Spot" - a fungal disease.

I prefer a blend to help strengthen the overall lawn health vs disease (as in not every cultivar in the blend will be as susceptible to damage and slows/prevents the spread or damage.

I was also impressed with this find after seeding Super Turf 2 a month or so ago. Needed another batch of seed for another section of my yard. Got 10 lbs shipped for basically $50. And their pictured label is the same as what I got. 0% crop and weed seed. Same cultivars as advertised. Probably should've bought 25 lbs. Tested 12/22 so it's pretty fresh.

Anyone bought 5 lbs from this company lately? Just got my KBG seed, and I was surprised it was in a heavy duty sealed retail plastic bag (polypropylene?) with their logo, with those tiny air holes punched in it and labels indicating my seed type and analysis...like what Scotts or Jonathan Green seed comes in. Probably better for long term storage than the standard woven bags, but it was still a surprise.

I got 5 libs of my custom mix from them last fall, that was in a big woven bag. I ordered 5lbs of fine fescue a couple weeks ago, that was in a smaller pre-sealed bag as it was one of their "off the shelf" products.
Yea, like others. I asked for and was promised “Certified” ‘Mazama’ KBG. But the plastic bag had NO BLUE “Certified” tag.

Observation: I noticed that their sealed bags do not have the certified official sod quality tag on them. The sticker with the cultivar name is a similar blue color. When I check the website, the lot number I have does indeed match the blue certified tag photo on the website, so I'm not really concerned.

According to what I was told, they supply certification tags only if you order 50 lbs. This is why they have them on the website for viewing and downloading. Matching the lot number is the exact right way to verify.

United Seeds does the same, though in the past before before they were real popular, they would sometimes give me tags with my orders.

Same with Hogan; they never supply tags for smaller quantities, only using their own. In fact, this is what all of the other companies I've ordered from over the years (and there are about 5 more I've used) have done. No one really gives tags with smaller orders.

Most likely this is because each 50 lb bag only has one set of tags, and sellers may jot be given extras for when a bag is broken up. It would be nice if these companies were given extra tags for smaller orders. Some blue and yellow card stock paper off Amazon or from a craft store and a printer can solve this problem. If I want tags, I will print my own and staple them to the bags just to make myself happy and remind myself of the certification.

The main advantage of Twin City over United is that they sell 5 lbs. United no longer does for straight seed varieties...just 10 lbs minimum now (or 5 lbs for mixes). Twin City will get more of my business just because of this. I only need 5 lbs most of the time.

I have ordered a ton of seed from them and always have had a good experience.

I was originally planning on ordering from United and using superturf as part of my spring seeding.. but after looking at prices and-twin city has free shippingI went with the resilience blend/mazama/Pangea/Manhattan7 (lots of cultivars haha) it was a spring seeding so it’s a work in progress but overall I’ve been happy. Might be hard for me to tell the resilience in the blend but I can post some pictures once it fills in a bit

I also have had good experiences with TCC. I have ordered through SSS, United, and Twin City and Twin City is definitely tops in terms of competitive pricing while still carrying high quality stuff. Also, on Twin City website you can utilize multiple coupon codes. I think I used one for free shipping and one for 10% off the seed price.

I recently bought a 50lb bag of resilience mix and a 50 lb bag of grey wolf perennial rye from twin city. I am redoing my lawn again this fall. The area I live in is relatively new and was previously a wooded lot so I am dealing with a ton of fungus issues, I am hoping this mix can stand up to the lawn fungus in the area. The grey wolf rye scores very high on NTEP for leaf spot which is common here. The reslience mix cultivars also score high. Both 50 lb bags came in fast. No problems Good service.

Has anyone had issues with their PRG mix specially in 5lbs bags?!

I seeded and it’s been a disaster. What’s germinating is looking like Fescue or annual rye, and light green.

Discussed here.

It's a copy cat of ARTIMUSS by HeritagePPG.. Only one cultivar was changed ARTIMUSS is four of the current top NTEP scoring MVS cultivars and 0%-0%
24.87% AVENGER III
24.86% TITANIUM G-LS
24.85% SPYDER 2LS
24.83% DYNAMITE G-LS

But I don't think you will see it around for long because they're not a MVS distributor and the MVS cultivars were purchased sideways and now that MVS is aware of this it will not happen again..

Interestingly, TCS just released “Resilience II” without any MVS varieties. 🤔

Right you are. Can't copyright lawn seed mixtures. Nor should you be able to.
