Manual Reel - Edge of Lawn too High

So I've been using an Earthwise reel mower for my backyard last season, but never had the front in good enough shape to use it there. Was hoping to use it this season, but doesn't look like it's doable. The edge of my lawn is too high off the sidewalk so I can't get it to mow along the edge. The dirt is quite a bit above the sidewalk, so not sure how I can even fix it. Any ideas? Maybe the sidewalk has sunk over time?

The ~$260 price was a showstopper for a long time, but the power rotary scissors attachment for my trimmer were ultimately the missing piece. My mower’s transport wheel axles keep it a few inches away from the landscape edging, and using a string trimmer to get that last band of grass always butchered it. Same deal around the other obstacles from the guy wires and posts.
The Stens unit came up on Amazon with a monthly payments option for 5 months. I finally pulled the trigger once I could spread that cost out. Had to sacrifice my straight shaft trimmer attachment to get the PRS mounted, but I can maintain all my turf edges and obstacles in detail now.
