I have one high spot in my lawn that I would like to knock down. It's about 8'x3'. Any ideas on how to get rid of a high spot other than taking off the sod and removing dirt?

I think it depends on how fast you want it gone.

1. You could cut out the sod remove the dirt and replace the sod and you would be done. Might need a few bags of sand to get everything level again and smooth.

2. You can add sand around the high spot to raise the area up to it. Might take 2-3 leveling to get everything right.

3. You can heavily aerate the area and remove the cores and wait for the soil to basically collapse on itself. This process will most likely take several years to get it to where you want.

4. An asphalt roller or plate compactor might work depending on the make up of your soil.
