After Trugreen almost destroyed my lawn im looking for recommendations for pre and post-emergents for emerald zoysia. I'm going to buy some Quail-pro prodiamine 65wdg. I have some fusilade and triclopyr for maintaining wild bermuda

What else do I need to ensure a weed free healthy lawn for this year? What are you guys doing?

I always recommend Celsius and Certainty as those 2 alone will take care of 95-99% of most weeds you will come across. They are a little expensive up front but are actually cheaper per application over anything you can buy at the big box stores and will get superior results and there are no temperature restrictions either.

This has been my go to as well. Just know it does not have the quickest knockdown but is very effective and won't harm the grass in higher temps.

Agree on Celsius and Certainty. You will also need insecticides like imidacloprid and Bifen. I would also recommend a fungicide being in ATL and you have Zoysia. Propiconazole is economic. Most others add in azoxystrobin or Thiophanate methyl.
I have seen a lot of testimonies about Celsius and Certainty. Thank you all for the insight!

You may be sick of hearing this, but I do fall and spring prodiaimine apps and since I've adopted that strategy I really don't have much use for post emergent herbicides. Here and there I will get winter grass but it's so little I don't mind letting it burn out. I also wouldn't rule out a soil test just to keep the opportunism to a minimum. Between balanced soils and a preemergent routine there won't be much you need to keep on the shelf.

+1

Couldn't agree more, between Pre-Emergent and healthy thick lawn you won't really need too much weed control products but if you are starting off with a bunch of weeds it's a good tool to have in your arsenal plus Celsius and Certainty will keep indefinitely as long as you store them away from extreme temperatures. My first bottle of Celsius lasted over 10 years

Prodiamine pre e- works, and a 65 dollar bottle will last you forever- I also add it to my round-up for when I am spraying cracks in the concrete and rock beds. I use a heavy dose and it prevents weeds from returning.
Simazine pre=e- Cheap as well. a 2.5 gallon jug will last forever. I use in combination and I alternate with Prodiamine.
Gallery- Isoxaben pre-e. I use this in the summer for my yard since spurge and other weeds like to pop up. Not anymore since I started doing 1 app per year in late spring/early summer.
Certainty and Celsius... is money I also use Dismiss. Dismiss can be had cheaper if you buy the generic.
Certainty can be had for cheaper in the marketplace here sometimes.
Certainty is 100 bucks for 1.5 oz. A 20oz bottle can be had for 330 bucks of generic with the same AI, so people buy that and split.
Certainty is also good for poa annua.

It's always good to search for the Active ingredient, sometimes you can find a much cheaper product that is essentially the same.
