I'm looking to try the Andersons new Humic Coated Urea 44-0-0 on an area that a tree thinned out the 419 due to shade, Tree was summarily removed last week. Anyway the HCU can be spread or dissolved as a spray.
https://assets.andersonsplantnutrient.com/pdf/HCU_Brochure-web.pdf

Label suggests min spray volume in gallons per acre, I'm looking for gallons of water per 1000.

.50 lb of N= 1.14 lbs per 1000, of product dissolved and sprayed in 40 gallons per acre.

Is the formula 43.5 (Acre Sqft) divided by 40 (gal) = 1.08 gallons carrier mix per 1000?

Yes, 1 gallon/M and you should be fine according to the label. I'm curious how the Humic will dissolve and spray through the nozzles, you should be alright though.
Here's the YouTube video with them showing how well it dissolves.

HCU seems like a good bonus getting the urea costed in a humic.

Regardless I always filter any dissolvable thru a 50 mesh screen before going in my sprayer just to be safe and I've never had a nozzle or even a handheld hose sprayer clog by doing it.

Here's the area the former tree did a number on the 1 year old 419. You can see the stump on the left.

Curious if you went ahead with it -- and if so, how did it turn out?
Turned out awesome this is a shot 60 days later last year.

Wow! That's fantastic.
And you just sprayed the equivalent of half a pound of N per 1000 sqft? Or did you apply more than that over multiple apps?

Thinking of using HCU on my lawn for the fall blitz… but I'd probably have to keep it granular since I haven't invested in a sprayer (unless an Ortho Dial n Spray would work, LOL).

No…way lower than .50lb probably closer to .20 lb per spraying application. I was spraying that area about once to 2x a week for about 2 months in early morning letting it sit on grass for 2-3 hours and then watering in.

Great, thanks for details!
