I have been spraying for about 5 years.

Chapin....and sometimes its OK....most of the time either low pressure....weak...spray pattern crappy....several diff tips....then works ok..then put a HEARTY mix together....low pressure....it cant handle stronger mixes.

is this the case with most of these sprayers?

I mainly mix FAS ---occasional 2x a year herbicide......1x a year prodiamine---always gives a issue if a hearty mix....

also the darn thing will leak from the top on my back if i try to get any more than 3.25 gal in it..and i tighten the crap out of the top.

im going into blitz season and I just used the chapin...its a POS.

battery.......yes--cleaning-rinsing.

i went out again and retried it....now working good again. sometimes when I make a super stoudt mix....it does this....but its NOTHING like what others do with all that humic crap..i never use that .

its light duty.....but its also inconsistent.

I made a mix of FAS 6 oz AS/gal 6 oz FS/gal so---24 oz each into 4 gal water and 1 oz ish citric.... sometimes it maintains high pressure--other times it get weak spray pressure....battt always full charge. I went out and ran HOT water through it......but it was already unclogged?

retry again this week.....im on my BLITZ.......with granular and spray....got to bring back my kbg.

I do see people have "some" troubles with the pro-ish sprayers----but even Paul at PPC--mentioned his chapin was a POS......i find the same---sometimes good--other times a small trickle out nozzle.

I have a old chapin pump thats great.
I bought a 2 gal one and it was a POS
I bought the chapin in line fertilizer and it was a POS , Then I started looking at Battery pump sprayers.
The chapin felt like crap and I had the bad taste in my mouth from the last 2 chapin products.
Looked at the Milwaukee. Lesco and a few others
Ended up with a Flowzone.
So far its done everything I have asked it to do. Even a pretty thick mess of
Humic and other “bio” products.

I bought a Chapin sprayer 3 years ago. It did OK for a while and then the flow rate slowed way down from when it was just out of the box. I measured the flow rate when it was new, so I had something to compare it with. I contacted Chapin and sent it back one month before the warranty expired. They replaced the pump and the battery and charger. I have used it for 2 years now with great results. Will I buy another one when it quits...Probably not. I only bought a Chapin because in 2020 (Covid) lots of things were hard to get at the time. Lots of things were out of stock. Cleaning it properly after each use helps prolong the life for a sprayer also.

Jacto PJB 16 battery op. Ive tried a few others over the years and these by far my favorite IMO for many reasons. One battery charge will last days yes days of continuous use. Or about a week of spot spraying. We are still using two of the older models but I’d guess the newer ones are just as good.

I've been using this for 5 months and love it, the pressure is always consistent and it accepts TeeJet nozzles. mine came with 2 batteries. It replaced my Ryobi that never maintained a consistent pressure.

I got a Flowzone cyclone this year, and it's been great. Had an issue early on where it would stop working when it got down to about 3/4 of a gallon. Was super frustrating... then I realized the pump nozzle at the bottom of the tank was upside down pointing up into the air instead of down to the bottom of the tank. Since, then it's been great lol

Bought the cyclone 3. toolbarn. 10% off.

used it 2 times now. WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better than the chapin. consistent and powerful.

wish i bought it 3 years ago.

i like it. the plastic fittings are a little cheeseball cheepie...but it does work.

im running a vr8005.......and now i need to dial back the flowzone....LOL...it flows alot more. prob a 11004 would be nice.......

I had never heard of my4sons but I just looked up and I’m impressed. After someone stated the long spray time I knew it had to be lead acid like Jacto and it was! But dang I’m probably going to get one of these they spec really well! A lot cheaper than my Jactos fo sure.
Did you get the agitator option on the M4? If so, interested to hear how it performs. I’ve had a Sprayers Plus since 2017, but been thinking of getting a new sprayer. I like the idea of having an agitator, but at the same time it seems like one more pump to worry about it.
