Hello,
I am replacing my irrigation valves, before cutting out my old valves, I purchased 3/4 inch valves, I made this choice because the inlet and outlet pipes are 3/4 inch.
after cutting out the old valves I see they are 1 inch.
My main line looks to be 1 inch and is stepped down to 3/4 inch just before the manifold so the inlet and outlet lines are both 3/4 inch.
Why would this have been designed this way? and will this be alright if I put in the 3/4 inch valve?
some of the valves do have to push the water out a bit of a distance to the sprinkler heads - as we have a large yard - I am not sure if this is a factor or not.
