I used to use SpeedZone for a general lawn weed killer, and that worked well but is expensive. Now I'm trying out a jug of Sprectracide Weed Stop for Lawns Concentrate, and although that's a good value when looking at cost per 1,000 sq ft treated, it's not very effective. It'll slowly kill short wimpy weeds like dandelions, clover and such, but won't kill most taller/thicker weeds.
What's the best bang-for-the-buck lawn weed killer when you compare by cost per 1,000 sq ft treated? I wish there was something as good a value as the pre-emergent Prodiamine WDG, in which you spend $65 and have a lifetime supply! Is there anything like that for a post emergent selective lawn weed killer?
And what do the pro lawn care companies typically use for their general lawn weed killer? They probably have to use something that is economical yet very effective, although I know they buy in volume.
Any recommendations are appreciated!
