Does anyone else own or have access to a Tufco Mete-R-Matic topdresser? I need to get a good photo of the drive pulley assembly to compare to my setup. We're having issues getting the center pulley tension adjusted properly.

EDIT: This is the walk-behind version.

See how that center belt is sunken into the pulley? I don't think that is normal but not sure how a pulley would wear down that much. All three belts are brand new.

Is the pulley all one piece? Also, measure the belt width and section. (Width and height/depth) That middle belt looks narrower but photos can be deceiving.

We've been using shovels but I am going to build a faring around the top as a sort of funnel so that we can use the bucket loader to do it.
The old trick for using a front loader to load smaller vehicles is to enter the pile at an angle, only loading about 2/3 of the bucket.

ETA: Or let it spill over. (assuming it won't harm the equipment) "Gather" the pile occasionally once the loaded vehicle moves out of the way.

@MasterMech We were going to do the loading half the bucket at an angle method as well but the tractor wasn't available last time I topdressed. So it was just two guys with two shovels. We ended up doing almost 10 yards that way and it was too bad but a bucket loader is the way to go. He could load the bucket and be standing by to dump it just as the Turfco was emptying out. The biggest waste of time was going back to the pile when empty.

That's always the way when top dressing. You spend a ton of time hauling/driving unless you have a way to move sand closer to the work. Time for a feeder cart?

@Humbert810 I haven't driven it loaded since getting it back but it moves forward and backwards with no clunking now. We were supposed to do a topdress at the church this summer but it just never happened and now it's too late in the season.
