Hello dear lawn community,

Have you heard of this hand-operated topdresser - the Master Topdresser S75?

It's a German manufacturer that even has customers in Australia from what I see on YouTube.

The Master Topdresser S75 is a hand-held lawn edger.
Perfect for targeted topdressing of lawns. The application rate can be adjusted almost infinitely. This means that there is never too little material, but also never too much. In addition to sand, other fine-grained loose spreading materials such as granules for tennis courts can also be applied.

I now have the Topdresser myself and use it to spread moist washed river sand.
I just love the thing.

Currently, a distributor for the USA is still being looked for.

I have not had time to watch the video but will try to do so in the next day or so. I would imagine that there is a good market here albeit niche. What do they cost?

A quick google search revealed a price of $2500. That is way too steep for me.

That's a 1/3rd of the cost of a ecolawn eco250 top dresser.

Went back and watched the video. Seems like it's constructed well and works decent but that cost for some sheetmetal, wheels, and brush/drum is pretty outrageous.

The first look is like "only some sheetmetal, wheels, and brush/drum" but when you put your hands on it is more - Ben Sims will do a review as I'm informed

I was thinking in the $750 range would be where I would be interested. I agree if it is $2500 that is too high.

The Bannermann (US / Canada) costs somethink like 1.200 $ and is not in that quality and precision when spreading the sand

That seems quite pricey! My Earthway spreader does a phenomenal job with a much wider swath. I'm sure it has some favorable applications, just not for me.

All their products are insanely expensive and that's if they get back to you. They don't seem to like to return calls....I tried to order one of their motorized top dressers a while back and they never got back to me. They did get back to me on their new 1 yard riding top dresser, but that thing is like 30K ! Ouch !!
