Too Cool to Kill (Knock back) Rye with Celsius?

Hey everyone,

Title self explanatory. Here in southern OH we'll be around 70* today, and mid 60's through Thursday. I've been trying to convert my lawn over to bermuda (the hard way), and have some pesky rye and cool season grasses poking up through, not to mention a few spots of chickweed here and there. Will Celsius do anything at these temps to kill off weeds and kill/knockback the rye?

Also, as a side question, I sprayed Dithiopyr last night in hopes that the forecast of light rain tomorrow will water it in for me. Am I forced to wait to spray Celsius because of this anyway?

Thanks

You should see plenty of activity at 70° with celsius. It does work a little slower then 3-way products. I don't think it's labelled for rye. You'll probably need Katana or Revolver for that. You can apply with dithiopyr at the same time as the post-em's.

Ok @McDiddles, thanks! Rye is in fact listed on the label, as it is of course a cool season grass, and it says it will "damage or control" them.

Good to know about applying it alongside Dithiopyr, however, now it's raining today, and looks like it might not be quite as warm for the next week or so. I'll have to be patient and glare out my window at the rye for now. Lol.

This weather pattern is killing me right now :(

I'm seeing rye and weeds coming through and I'm getting antsy. If I sprayed tomorrow, would it do much?
