Edges and I have a rather unhappy history.

I had a black and decker edger trimmer in one when my wife and I lived in a townhouse with a 500 sq. ft. yard. You had to charge it nine hours to get fifteen minutes if that of use.

Then I bought a 4 cycle craftsman string trimmer and edge attachment after the second summer the edger went bad and it took me six months to get Sears to replace it and Craftsman refused to help resolve the issues. Also Sears didn't replace it they gave me store credit which actually allowed me to buy a small storage shed.

So I've been looking for a gas powered 4 stroke stick edger under 200. It doesn't seem to exist. So i would love to get some opinions on the best options out there. My budget will allow me to go over 200 but I prefer not to.

I just got the Milwaukee string trimmer with the quik lok system and absolutely love it. It keeps up with my gas trimmer and I still haven't gotten used to how quiet it is when I let off the throttle. I haven't purchased the edger attachment yet but it is on my list.

For now I just use the trimmer to edge. It's balanced really well so it's easy to keep a pretty straight line. If you already have a Milwaukee battery, the bare trimmer tool is about $200 and the edger attachment is $100.
