@Slingblade_847 I have wanted to add a brush or broom to my roller set up. I just haven't ever done it.
I had thought of mounting a concrete finish broom behind the mower, in front of the roller. I'm not sure how I would do it, make some kinda brackets I guess. If you figure something out or find any good pictures let me know. Good luck.

 

I wouldn't add a brush to the front of the deck, that will just push the grass down before the blades suck it back up again. Adding a push broom head to the back of the deck in front of the checkmate could work. Could also try adding some weight to the checkmate

I think if you're rolling it down already with the CheckMate, adding anything else is redundant at best. I could see running the broom out front if you wanted to brush in sand/top-dressing on low-mowed turf, or to stand up grass that tends to lay horizontal, but not for striping.

 

Could you make your own striping tool out of hard bristle broom ,,,attach it to back of the deck??? I’ve order strips broom and gonna try it,,,anyone tried this???
