Sanitize Hedge Trimmers?

I know that using shears, it is a good idea to sanitize them when moving from plant to plant. Is that the same case for hedge trimmers? What's the best method to sanitize them? Can I just spray with alcohol or Lysol between different plants, then clean and oil the blades at the end of the day?

I would just use Simple Green, then wash them off with water and oil them.

Simple green is a cleaner, not a sanitizer. Using it to clean gardening tools may not be a bad choice though. I don't think it will do much to prevent the spread of diseases in the garden.

I remember seeing a youtube video and it said a bleach water solution. I have not tried it as I am afraid it would rust them tool blades and the tool itself.

What do you pull them with?

Bleach and water. If you're oiling after use, there will be no rust issues.
