Depends on how severe those slopes are and if you can run up/down them or not. The Ryan will probably work you harder on the slopes.

I rented a 36" Ryan over the weekend and it performed really well. Most of the time it ran way too fast at full throttle, but handled my modest slopes like they were nothing. HUGE pain to turn though... was very sore the next day.

 

Also, 4 hours was plenty of time for me. I covered my 15000 sq ft yard at least three times.

I own a Plugr and could not be happier, I've rented the Ryan in the past and that machine can sure kick your butt....The reason I got the Plugr is because its very easy to use, no lifting up when turning very maneuverable. We've done 20,000+ sqft yards and its a walk in the park.....LOL I keep at my house and sometimes I'll use it out of boredom to aerate my neighbors houses...

Might want to try and rent that unit next time.

 

I can't thank y'all enough for your experiences and input. With the plugr being cheaper and easier to use, I believe I will go that route.

 

If the Ryan is the rolling drum aerator...skip that one altogether. They are like wrestling a bear!!

If the Plugr is the cam driven model those are awesome and easy to use. Still a little work but so much easier to handle and the machine does all the work.

A ProCore 648 would blow everybody's mind. Everyone should get the privilege of trying one at least once.
