Who else is throwing down ? 😃
Phoenix is still too hot for "Winter" Rye (imo). I'm guessing 3 or 4 maybe 5 weeks before it's go time. To avoid any shortages/sell outs, I went ahead and grabbed my seed before the big rush hits. It's a real nice 3 seed blend of some nice quality perennial rye grasses. I've had very good results with the seed that our local Sprinkler World stores bring in each year. 50 lb bags were a little better priced this year at $89.50, compared to last year's insanity of $121 for the same size.
••• For comparison, this years big box store Pennington "Fairway Supreme" 50 lb bags are $104 with only 41.5% seed (20-3/4 lbs of seed), the rest is coatings and inert matter. •••
Anyway, at some point soon I will need to grab some cheapie quick release starter fert and wait for better temps. Love the cooler weather and dark dark geen of prg.
Let's seem them super magical stripes and patterns.
