Hello everyone, I am considering using these Tall Fescue seeds for this fall.
What do you think?

Look at the weed seed and other crop %
Look up the cultivars in the rebel and make sure they have traits you want.
I was looking at prices between the “store” sold seeds and better seed prices and the difference is not much .

not sure if all Rebel Tall Fescue is the same but noticed this bag is 50% by weight is coating.

The bag I used a couple of years ago was also the same as far as 50% coating.

Thank you, everyone! This year, it isn't easy to find seeds in CT. I tried in the past different brands and with some, I was lucky with others not. I have to overseed 20.000 sqft and I have a low budget. A few years ago I was not lucky with Black Beauty and I tried Pennigton and it was ok. My challenge with my lawn is the water, I have a water well and I don't have too much water to waste.

You can get from Hancock seed on line 25 pounds of tall fescue seed for $97 no tax free shipping 50 pounds for $134 better option then big box store. Difference here is 50 pounds of seed is 50 pounds. Rebels 50 pound bag is actually 25 pounds of seed and 25 pounds of nothing but filler

Barenbrug RTF Water Saver is about $135 for 50 pounds. It claims to be regenerative, spreads with rhizomes, and saves water as the name implies. It can be shipped...I have 50 pounds going down mid-week this week in Zone 7A. I'll use the RTF where the Poa and Bermuda has wiped me out. I have a thread below talking about my efforts in restoration, and this is partly why I chose the RTF. First time use, we will see....I also have a locally selected Tri-Blend TTTF....suggested by the local seed/farming store for use here in 7A. I'll use this for overseeding areas that are still looking good.
