I wanted to share my experience with the Oto Smart Sprinkler, which I recently installed in my yard. Overall, it’s been a great addition to my lawn care routine. Here’s a detailed review for anyone considering making the switch to a smart sprinkler system.

Background:
I wanted to automate my water for my front yard, which gets lots of sun. I have used various hose timers which have been helpful, but was excited to try the Oto to automate things even further. I didn't want to spend thousands on in-ground irritation or need to rip up the entire lawn with trenching.

Setup and Installation:
Setting up the Oto Smart Sprinkler was straightforward. The instructions were clear, and I had everything up and running within 30 minutes. Definitely a much quicker and easier process comparing to trenching and in-ground irrigation.

Simplicity of Use:
The “set it and forget it” feature is what I really appreciate about the Oto. Once you’ve programmed it, you can literally forget about it, and it will take care of your lawn. The app is user-friendly and allows you to control every aspect of your lawn care from your phone. It customizes the watering schedule to match the specific shape and needs of your lawn. It knows the weather forecast and only waters when needed.

Precision Watering:
One of the standout features is how precisely it waters my flowers and plants. It doesn’t just drench everything but instead targets specific areas that need water. My plants have never looked better.

Range and Coverage:
The only downside I’ve noticed is the maximum range, which is about 30 feet. For larger lawns, this might be a problem. In my circumstance, I placed the Oto in an area that can cover the region of my yard that gets the most sun and needs the most water.

Multifunctional Use:
The Oto Smart Sprinkler doesn’t just water your lawn. It can also apply lawn food, odor eliminator, and mosquito spray directly onto the lawn. This multifunctionality has significantly simplified my lawn care routine.

360-Degree Nozzle:
The 360-degree nozzle ensures full coverage. This feature, combined with the app’s customization options, means no more dry patches or overwatered areas. And because you can shape the water pattern to your specific yard shape, I can avoid water landing in my driveway like a traditional sprinkler would do.

App Functionality:
The app is great. It’s intuitive and gives you complete control over your lawn care schedule. Whether you want to adjust watering times or check the weather forecast to optimize your watering schedule, it’s all at your fingertips.

Conclusion:
Overall, I recommend the Oto Smart Sprinkler. It’s simplified my lawn care routine, improved the health of my plants, and saved me a lot of time. If you’re looking for an efficient, smart, and multifunctional sprinkler system, Oto is definitely worth considering.

Special Offer:
If you’re considering getting the Oto Smart Sprinkler, they run sales frequently, and you can stack that discount with this link for an additional $25 off. Here’s the link.

Yes, I have my Oto placed in my front lawn to cover the main area that gets the most sun and needs the most frequent watering. The backyard and side yards have more shade and I don't need to water them often. Oto is primarily designed to be kept in one spot, but you could create a different zone for a different section of your yard and if you moved it to that location and selected that zone, I think it would work pretty well. Hope that helps!

I am planning to buy Oto sprinkler and found this thread. I read your experience and happy that you share it. It helped a lot. Additionally, I found that they offer 20% off sitewide valid as per this $25 Off OTO Lawn Sprinkler Coupons Valid in August 2025 page. Hopefully it will help community.
This is what you joined the lawn forum to say?

For everyone's reference, after a 15% discount, these are $499 for one unit.

One year ago, the price was $339 after a 15% discount. I snapped a screen shot at that time because I noticed the price going up. There is always some "deal" going on but the net price has been going up despite that.
