I have new zeon zoysia sod that is about 6 weeks old. Noticed some browning/discoloration starting a few days ago but not sure how to treat. It hasn’t cooled down too much yet in Charleston, sc. New homeowner and help would be much appreciated!
I sodded zorro zoysia back in march facing very similar weather conditions even though I’m in north Texas. We had very abnormal cool temps throughout March-April. It probably took 8 weeks to start rooting and I had warmer temps/more sunlight in that last month. I didn’t see tremendous progress until it warmed up well into the 90s.
If you haven’t already done so, apply a fungicide for brown/large patch before the sod goes dormant.
