Good day everyone,
I have a lawn full of Kentucky Blue Grass. I live up in Alberta Canada. The front of my house is South facing. I have a patch in my lawn on the West side of the house that for seasons now stays brown while everything around it is green. The patch is a mix of sunshine and shade.
Two weeks ago I started patching up some of the bare spots in my lawn using Scotts soil and Scotts KBG seeds. All the spots in my lawn are now sprouting and its filling in nicely, except for this one big patch on the West side of my house. I have enclosed a picture of it below what it looks like. On the edges you can see some of the grass growing out of the dirt, but other than that it remains bare.
I am fairly new to gardening as this is my first home that has a yard and I have only had it for a couple of seasons so far. I am not sure if I should just give it more time to grow or if there is any other treatment I should apply to this patch. It is still very much the beginning of the season, but our wettest month is always May. After that it is usually dry and hot. That is why I wanted to repair my lawn end of April - May. The lawn is wet from all the rain and snow that is still falling. Temperature has been between 5 - 15 degrees Celcius.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
