Maruyama vs Husqvarna Weedeater

In the market for a new Weedeater. Need something that can handle my 17 acres of work vs the half acre I used to have. I currently have a Milwaukee string trimmer, but am going to switch to gas powered. Went to a couple of places yesterday. Looked at Maruyama (270L and 300L turbo) as well as Husqvarna (525RX). I've also looked at Stihl. The dealer's personal opinion was that the Maruyama was higher quality that the Husqvarna.

Any opinions and insight on the different options? Looking for something that can serve me well both around the house where I'm doing "normal" string trimming duty, but also around the rest of the property where I might need to handle some heavier duty stuff.

I've owned them all. I would take Maruyama over them any day all day. My local dealer who sells all the brands also agrees Maruyama is a better quality unit than the ones you mentioned.

I've been using Maruyama and others since the 1990's commercially. Maruyama is consistently the best most reliable brand I've ever owned.

If you have a local dealer that sells the Big M, don't even think about it and buy it.

ETA: check out their combi system. VERY nice system. I do recommend the 30cc head though regardless of what M you buy.

I have the Maruyama M30QC powerhead and several attachments. I have no real complaints, other than Maruyama dealers are few and far between around here.

I also have a newer Stihl KM 131 R KombiSystem powerhead. Same here - no real complaints.

Both have the commercial quality I expect at that price tier.

To me the aesthetics and operator controls/handles are a little more refined on the Stihl.
