Posted this over in the Michigan forum but didn't get any responses.

But does anyone have any suggestions for local sources to get good quality grass seed from in Michigan? I am starting over with my lawn and was hoping to avoid the shipping fees. Particularly because I also want to get clover, buckwheat and few other cover crop seeds as well.

What area of Michigan are you in? I'm on the west side near GR. I just discovered De Bruyn Seed in Zeeland. Best I've found within 2-3 hrs of me. They sell Turf Merchant products which contain some elite cultivars.
I am in Canton.

Zeeland is about 2 hours away. That's not too bad but I was hoping there was something closer.

Your local Site One will probably have decent offerings as well. I'm not sure what you're looking for, but I almost bought their Fairway mix as I was in the market for KBG and didn't want to pay 3X the cost at Seed Superstore. The local store rep might not be very informed, so they might need to contact their golf sales group. If you don't care for the Lesco stuff, just ask if they know of any other sources for seed locally. Here's the golf products catalog:

Washington elevator in Washington TWP, is absolutely amazing. They have everything. Their perennial rye is my favorite seed ever
They don't seem to have grass seed listed on their website (https://washingtonelevator.com/). They are not too far away, so I'll give them a try regardless.
it's an old school place. You can get any kind of seed you want by the lb. They have a menu behind the counter. Their Fert is amazing also. 50lb bags of AS 21-0-0-21, 20 bucks. I love their 6-24-24

There is a Nutrien Ag Solutions location in Saline. If all Nutrien locations are the same, they carry Earth Carpet which has LOTS of options. I am in Kazoo and going to over-seed with their Blue Carpet 100% KBG mix in the next couple of weeks.

For anyone else that might be interested, here is a part of the menu from Washington Elevator:

They had another menu for feed, mulch, etc. but I forgot to take a picture.

They weren't able to tell me exactly what cultivars are in their KBG mix but the price is great. So I am hoping it'll turn out great.

You will be very happy with that KBG seed, I have no doubt. Their perennial RYE is the best seed I have ever used.
