I will be overseeding my PRG/KBG lawn shortly and wondering when is the best time to apply a liquid iron supplement. 6% iron with a NPK of 12-0-0 along with humic acid. I have never used an iron supplement but I am wanting a darker greener lawn this last summer/fall season. Is it best to wait 2-3 months until new grass is established? What happens if you apply to a newly overseeded lawn? Thank you

I believe you would be ok if you wait a few weeks after germination. Ben from lawn tips had a video on applying iron on a really new lawn or major overseed. I would do a light application. Me personally, I would wait.
He tends to push things, although he was or still is a greens keeper. I always consider that.

Do you have high PH? Do up know the iron content of the soil?
What does you lawn look like now? Can you apply the Iron before the overseed? Then again in 2-3 months.
For me Iron sprayed on my lawn and others that i play with, does not do anything. But all are PH 6.3-6.8 with high ppm of iron.
