Lawn repair/landscape after pool install

Looking for some thoughts/advice...we just had a pool and hardscaping installed. It's almost finished so I am at the point of needing to get the lawn landscaped and repaired.

We just moved into the house in late August of last year. It was a new construction home and the builder of course used Tifway 419 Bermuda. Obviously a good amount of the lawn was torn up from the install. There will be areas that are covered with fresh red clay as well. The pics below give you an idea. I'm going to have those big piles of red clay pushed back to extend the flat area of the yard (it falls off a steep slope in the back).

Curious how you all would recommend the best way to go about re-sodding and getting the lawn back to shape?

I'd love to use TifTuf instead of 419 but since there is still so much 419 left, I'm not sure if that is a good call. IE, would I have to tear out the rest of the 419? Should I just keep everything 419 to keep it simple?

Also, I was thinking of putting a nice layer of sand over the areas of exposed red clay as well before putting sod down.

Please let me know any thoughts, suggestions, comments, etc.! Thanks in advance!

I just had my pool installed and they destroyed my Zoysia in the back. I'm just gonna sod it in a month when its a little warmer. I've been leveling and working on the dirt almost every day to prep it. Also added some more grass areas in my yard :)
Tough seeing all that damage for sure. Sounds you're doing it right with the prep work and your yard will be as nice as ever.

I remember a @Greendoc post from a while back that mentioned putting sand down as a base. You can throw the sod on top of straight sand. Will help with the leveling and drainage. Would recommend that as the final stage of prep.

One thing I'm worried about with my lawn are the areas where they just spread a thin layer of red clay over existing sod. Might be too deep for the grass to grow through but thin enough to where it might impact root growth of new sod. Not sure what to do about that.... Thinking as long as I have at least 5-6 inches of soil/sand, the new sod should be ok?

Not sure if anybody has experience with that situation...
