For the best flow, you can use inground control valves with PVC and keep them above ground. You will need a separate controller (eg. Rachio). You can make multiple zones with this setup.

Sorry but you are wasting time and money with untested junk like that. I know it sucks but if you invest in the rainbird or hunter permanent in ground system stuff, you will save money and have better results in the long run.

 

@g-man has the best solution. Or you use a dual timer with both outputs set to same operation time and tie the outputs together to one sprinkler

 

I just purchased a pair of Rainpoint 2 zone sprinkler timers (pic attached).

I currently use 3/4” flexzilla hoses tied to Melnor sprinklers.

I’m an idiot because now I’m not getting the flow rate while using the sprinkler timers 🤦🏽‍♂️ (they are reduced down). I’ve been trying to research timers that do NOT restrict flow down to 5/8” or smaller through the unit.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Those are trash, I used them before I installed my irrigation system and within a week the screens fogged up, within 1.5 wks the readout stopped working, and by the 3rd week they had clogged closed from my hard water and I had to throw them away.

If you know nothing at all about irrigation, then I recommend you watch Hunter's instructional irrigation videos. I learned a ton from Hunter's University series.

 

You don't save any money by buying cheap products like this. (You will have to buy something else when this fails early or simply doesn't work well). Do the job once by doing it right. Rainbird, Hunter, and maybe Irritol are the only brands I would bother installing or using for anything irrigation related.
