I waited about 2 days for the first water and then irrigated about .1" every day or every other day to try to get a good kill for about 2 weeks.

 

I'm pretty sure most of what will be foliarly absorbed will do so in the first 4 or so hours. Check the label for when it is "rain fast".

After that you actually want to encourage the dying weeds to grow, glyphosate is most effective on vigorously growing plants. Water away.

It is supposed to neutralize when it makes contact with soil, so in theory runoff should be safe. In practice, probably good to try to avoid watering to the point of runoff. Maybe a light irrigation to just rinse the leaves off and get it to the soil, and then on your next cycle irrigate as normal.

 

Thank you - I was very careful about not over-spraying and keeping the neighbors' yards safe and I would hate to irrigate then have an issue. I just got it done this Sunday so maybe I'll wait a few days to do a light watering.
