Could be yellow nutsedge. Try a weed killer with sulfentrazone in it. Roundup for lawns or ortho nutsedge killer for lawns should be pretty easy to find at a hardware store.

 

Thank you - it looked “sedgy” to me. I have sedgehammer and will give it a try.

The backyard is like a checkerboard of this stuff. It grows fast in the summer. Do you think it’s worth a shot to spray with Tenacity to see if it kills it?

 

Maybe add quinclorac and/or triclopyr.
