My hrx217 was mid mow and abruptly shut off. She will now start with starter fluid, but will not run longer than a second or 2.
Within the last year, I have replaced the carb and wax plug.
After this issue, I have replaced the spark plug, disassembled and cleaned the carb, as well as visually inspected the coil for any gunk between the coil and flywheel. I dont suspect the issue to be anything spark related, as she fires right up with starter fluid.
The shop near me wants $80 to clean the carb, which they suspect to be the issue.
Since I'm familiar with the removal and replacement, I've ordered a new one as well as a shutoff/kill switch.
Am I wrong in thinking it could be a shutoff switch, or would that prevent spark all together?
Am I missing anything?
