Temps in south Louisiana have been in the 60s to upper 70s last few days, looking like spring will be here sooner than normal. Soil temps averaging about 60F for the past 5 days and forecast shows nothing under 40F till late Feb. Is it okay to go ahead and level out areas in the yard or should I wait until I see a little growth in the lawn?

How early is too early to fill holes/top dress?
Agree with @Kballen11 , it's best to be sure your grass is actively growing. I have some leveling to do, but I won't start that until 30 to 45 days after initial scalp and full recovery.

I top dressed/leveled big time February 2018 because it was when I was available. However, I was an idiot and put down my entire season's worth of pre-em about a week before, rather than waiting until I top dressed. With that being said, I had sand trenches for several weeks until everything filled in from the sides.
