I’ve been working on getting my lawn edges cleaner and more defined this spring, especially around my driveway and back patio. The thing I keep running into is how quickly the edges start to wear down especially when there's a lot of foot traffic or runoff after rain.
I had some work done by a concrete contractor last year for a new walkway, and he mentioned that even well-finished concrete edges can sometimes contribute to erosion or stress on the grass right next to them if there’s no proper barrier or slope.
I’ve been considering either adding a plastic edge barrier or maybe even a narrow gravel border to give the grass a bit of protection. Just curious what’s worked best for you all. Do you do anything specific to keep those concrete edges from creeping into your lawn or weakening the grass right along the edge?
