Hey guys,

I have centipede with a plethora of different weed types. What is a reasonably priced herbicide that would take care of most weeds? I am contemplating the switch to Bermuda in the future but this years main project is fixing my drainage issues and next year will be doing landscaping per the wife so it may be a few years. I would like to at least have the best centipede yard I can have for the time being

I'd go with some Atrazine. I did some a little over a month ago and it got rid of a ton of weeds. I knocked out the rest with 2,4D, Mecoprop-p, Dicamba and Dithiopyr (Spectracide weed stop for lawns w/ crabgrass preventer) There's a Pre-Em in that product too for the crabgrass that'll show up later in the season. I've also heard that Atrazine can be used as a pre and post Emergent for a small variety of weed types. Good luck! Trying to wrap my head around some good methods myself.

I used Celsius on my centipede (or maybe I should say, I used Celsius on my Weed Lawn with a little centipede mixed in) and it definitely got rid of most, if not everything I had. Took a good 3 weeks to work though as it's still been cold.

Since Celsius is expensive for a little 10 oz bottle, it's worth checking the marketplace like I did. Got 2 oz for much cheaper and it'll last for my lawn for a good 2-3 years. 10 oz is overkill for this stuff.
