Grubex time?

I've had a problem with sod webworms every year. I noticed a ton of moths flying around coming up out of the grass as I mow in June/July. So would grubex be a good product? Is now the time to apply?

Also not related but I need to apply some SOP. Can they be applied at same time. Since my irrigation is not on yet, I was thinking of applying before the rain on Sunday.

Florida guy here. We have a longer sod webworm season than most.

I'm planning on using GrubEx instead of Acelepryn this year. My plan is 1.5 lbs GrubEx per 1K sq. ft. every two months from April 1 to Oct 1. I believe this translates to an equivalent rate of Acelepryn at 4oz per Acre under the sod webworm preventive assurance program.

Here's my journal entry for my first app: https://thelawnforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=369106#p369106. You'll also see the follow-up posts where we are discussing the annual maximums of different products.

This Michigan State article suggests "between April 1 and May 30 (no later than July 15) for best results" for GrubEx. I assume the advice is geared toward Michigan residents, but I think the information applies much more broadly.

I was checking this on the cool season guide. As per g-man and the thread on grub protection the ideal window seems between April and early May.

Spring to do list:
If grubs have been a problem in the past or if you dont want any risk with them, then spring is the time to apply a grub preventer. GrubEx (chlorantraniliprole) is my choice since it is nicer to bees. Apply as soon as your lawn greens up. A second product is imidacloprid, but there are studies that link it to environmental issues (bees). MSU Grub Article and Grub Control Thread

I will be putting it down tomorrow for the coming rain over the week.

Can you expand on your comment? Are you saying the active ingredient in Grub ex will not control sod webworms? What do you recommend as far as timing etc.....
No, I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying that the program Sygenta put together for sod webworms looks very different to me than the standard guidance I've seen for grubs. I'm saying that they are different pests and probably can't be managed exactly the same way.
