Grey leaf spot

I’ve battled Grey leaf spot on quite a few tall fescue lawns the last few years. I’m running a solid fungicide program on them and it’s helping.

Having the more mature and resistant cultivars survive will help over time but wondering if there is anything culturally or within the program you’ve found to work.

These laws are getting a very good program of NPK and fungicides but wondering about adding some extra things to the tank?

What time of year are you seeing this disease? What is your current rotation?

min my location it comes out about Aug-sept pretty hard. I run a preventative fungicide and don’t have brown patch issues but Grey leaf spot is quick and fast. You can tell a difference that brown patch is hour glass shaped lesions on leaf edges. Grey leaf spot is more circles on center of leaves.

I have not seen control with azoxy/prop. Good suppression with t-methyl but short residual.

Thiophanate Methyl is what I’ve found to work well on my fescue when grey leaf spot shows up late in the season.
