Anyone use the Green Scott aerator before? It simply replaces a wheel on an existing rotary mower. I think the Youtube algorithm must have put it into my feed since I've been looking up core aeration recently. The claim is that it applies more psi than a rental core aerator that you can get from Home Depot. At $85 the price seems rather steep, but it's an intriguing idea. Any thoughts?

I actually invented this product for myself and because it worked out so well I brought it to market! I’ve sold over 1000 sales and five returns that tells you something. Plus I manufacture every aspect and sell the TINES commercially.
This product is designed for gradual aeration and or mowing you get a flat cut as the lowest point is where the blade cuts because of the high-speed of the blade, it always cuts at the lowest setting as usual, with slightly damp soil and speed works nicely. The kinetic action drives the aeration times deep into the soil because the wheel is 1/2 the size of a rental aeration machine diameter, therefore it four X times the PSI. Commenting on products you’ve never used in life and attempting to dissuade others from purchasing does little good for humanity, most Men don’t listen to other opinions especially with no first-hand use of the product! I personally guarantee you all CORE AERATOR WHEELS are 💯 guaranteed.

Most opinions with zero first-hand experience of a product most men do not listen to. So I don’t know why you would make an opinion about something you never used in your life.

I’ve used and designed this product for myself. It works very decent for a homeowner a one time cost $84 and ability to aerate on a weekly basis genius. The holes add up in no time, they are 2 1/2 inches deep and even in Edmontons dry clay type soil and most other US cities as I’ve mailed out over 1000 so far and only had five returns I would say that that speaks volumes! Have 100% satisfaction guarantee if you can’t figure it out! Check on my YouTube channel Green Scott, plenty of videos even comparisons with a rental aeration machine.

I wouldn’t equate ‘criticism of the concept’ to equal ‘product doesn’t function as intended’. It doesn’t appear the latter is being said here, rather, the concept is probably not going to resonate with a bunch of lawn enthusiasts who are very particular about their lawns. Can’t say that would make them any less of a man. Welcome to the Lawn Forum, where opinions are a significant part of the dialogue.

I know this is an old thread, but about 15 years ago I bought a core aerator attachment for my Sears front-bladed roto-tiller. It has 8 wheels with 3 coring tines each, staggered for smooth operation. It simply replaces the tilling blades on the two sides of the shaft, and is fully self propelled using the tilling clutch to start/stop motion. I use the aerator attachment a lot more frequently than the roto-tiller blades. I have to run the motor on slow idle, otherwise I have to sprint across my lawn.

As I recall it was not meant to go on my exact model of tiller, but it works fine. The blades extend a little wider than the tiller fender, but it does not affect its operation. The holes for the clevis pin line up perfectly with the holes in my tiller shaft. Although Sears is gone, I suspect the company that OEMed it for Sears is still around (I suspect B&T, MTD, or someone like that), so if you have a front-blade roto-tiller anyone could probably find a suitable attachment with some searching.

Hi Scott, I wish you nothing but success. Congratulations on bringing a product to market - not small feat! I invented and brought a pizza making tool to market. I've sold over 50K of them. After 25 years it was heavily knocked off by cheap chinese products, but it still sells. It has been quite an experience! Live for your fans and just ignore the haters. Dr. Suess said it best: "Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind!" Or something like that, anyway. Providing quality in both product and customer service is your nest friend 👍👍 Gary
