Fungus killed new grass?

I seeded this spot with 100% tttf 4th millennium. It was completely bare and i had great germination here. It was seeded on sept 5 and seemed like it was going great up until two days ago, I hadn't checked on it for a few days and come back and see that half of it is brown with this cotton like substance around the new grass. I just put down some disease ex but i wanted to see it you guys think it will survive or should i out more seed down?

Make sure you apply heavy at the curative rate and water it so this doesnt get worst. The white puffy cloud edge is textbook pythium blight

That looks like PB to me too. Get some Mefenoxam on it ASAP. Propiconazole won't do anything for it. Azoxy is your next best option.

Does it usually kill grass to the root? Just want to know if i should reseed this area or do you think it will recover

Yes, pythium wrecks to the root.

Don't reseed unless you treat the underlying issue, PB. I learned the hard way.

White mycelium can also be BP, but your does look like PB. Back off on watering. Mainly avoid watering in the evening. You will need seed in those areas unless you have KBG.
