Just purchased my first reel mower. 16" 7 reel Earthwise arrives today. Have been cutting my common bermuda with an Ego 21" rotary. Would love any tips for assembly and/or initial setup. Thanks!

I use mine still exact same one from couple months ago. I upgraded to a 5lb conveyor roller instead of the plastic ones. It’s nice and probably helps a slight bit with floating. I currently mow at 7/16” inch with it and there’s no way to avoid washboarding on it. I even placed a 35 lb weight on it 😳 It’s a great workout , I mow everyday with how fast it grows and HOC… small yard thankfully at 3k sqft. For tips : roll it backwards when transporting and not cutting, or simply pick it up it’s pretty light. PRO TIP: clean up your lawn as much as possible. The smallest woodchips or rocks, what have you , will jam between the blades and bed knife. Do not force it, push backward on the blade a bit and dislodge whatever it is and DISCARD of it! My lawn is probably cleaner than my carpet at this point lmao. It’ll show you why you want a greensmower even more. Or atleast it has for me. ✌

I have the same one. I also recommend the conveyor roller.
Wash off the mower with water after every mow, dry it off with a blower, spray WD-40 or equivalent, and give the blades a spin with your hand.
I've never not done this, and mine stays looking new and cutting well.
Yep stock up on the wd40🤣 I recently started using the silicon base one and I like that it doesn’t gunk up as much but I feel like I use more quantity of it over the regular wd40

have the same earthwise used it a couple seasons nice little manual reel for the money ( switched to a power reel now ) , make sure its adjusted and cuts paper , might need to border edge as they cant get to tight against fencing edging ect. , make sure you dont have high blood pressure cause in the heat of summer its a work out as others stated double cross cut if the lawn gets to thick and the reel stays on top of lawn thats where you'll get the washboard ripple cut effect i liked the fact i could go out and mow when the daylight breaks and know one knows ur mowing enjoy... cheers
