The granular pellet is just a carrier for the chemical. There are a variety of 0-0-7 products, some with prodiamine, others with pendamethalin, others with dithiopyr, and so on. Pendamethalin can stain sidewalks and driveways. Prodiamine has been my go to cause the application lasts longer than dithiopyr. Dithiopyr works well and usually costs a few dollars more. Take whichever you can find.

 

With your size yard it may be worth noting that a sprayable pre-emergent (something like Prodiamine 65 WDG) is approximately 1/10th the price of granular 0-0-7 on a per-application basis.

For example:
A 50-lb bag of Sunniland granular 0-0-7 (w Prodiamine) @ Lowes = $25 (bag rate is for 20k sqft but this is for a thin application rate, i bet). Two bags/year =$50.

A 5lb jug of Prodiamine ($55) covers 96k sqft at max rate (or split @ 0.415 oz in spring & again fall). Works out to approximately $6/year

So for the equivalent of 2 bags of 0-0-7 you'll get 10-years' supply of 65WDG. If this doesn't make the case for spraying then nothing will.
