Hey everyone,

So I just bought Dismiss, cause heard it's good at controlling sedges. I mainly have nutsedge. I live in south Texas, where it's been 95 and above. I heard it can cause stress to the lawn, so I plan on using iron when I put it down. Currently cutting at .50 every few days. I only plan on spot treating, but would it be best to just spray the whole yard since I know I'm constantly battling sedges ? I also already applied PRG, Hydretain . any advice on using this product would help me before I apply . Thanks

I would not spray dismiss in the Texas heat. I'm in Louisiana and I only will spray dismiss in the early spring( March, April) or late fall ( October November). There's just to much risk with burning imo. Maybe I'm wrong but that's the experience I've had. You can get certainty or sedgehammer to help you during the hot times.

I have the same experience as @CenlaLowell. Sedgehammer will work on the nutsedge but if you have kyllinga you will need to use Certainty. With Bermuda, you could spray the Dismiss in the evening if you are OK dealing with a little discoloration. Bermuda is the only grass type I would do this on as it will recover quickly.
