Different wand or New sprayer?

Plan on spraying a few foliar apps as well as a couple soil apps. Looking to get something compatible with teejet. I currently have a 2gal Scotts sprayer with the proprietary 3 spray nozzle thingy. Teejet nozzles won't fit on there by default. But would it make more sense to buy a whole new sprayer of better quality and compatibility with teejet nozzles? Or should I just try and find a wand thatll work? Front lawn is a measly 750sqft and back yard is 1600sqft. So I honestly don't NEED a backpack sprayer.

I am literally going through the exact same thing and finally just said f-it and replacing my wands.

I bought two Teejet brass valves/wands and one of these Triggerjets, and I honestly prefer it over the expensive brass Teejet wands for small jobs. Very light yet rigid. They have a version with 1/4 or 3/8 hose barbs so should be easy to cut and fit on with a clamp. It will fit normal teejet nozzles and has the teejet 11/16 size threads/cap on the end of the wand. The Teejet brass stuff is very nice but you pay in weight and price.

Edit: It's also very likely the scotts you have (just like mine) is 3/8 BSPP thread. It's going to be cheaper to replace the wand then try to find adapters if you want to do something like me and use a teejet checkvalve nozzlebody. Teejet has a couple adapters for 3/8BSPP but not enough selection of options to do what I wanted to do. Catalog here: https://www.teejet.com/CMSImages/TEEJET/documents/catalogs/cat51a_us.pdf

Yeah thinking the same thing. So you're saying even if I go the teejet wand route, I'll still have to cut and modify something on my current sprayer just to get the wand to fit securely? Looked at that wand and that's a decent price there. Not sure why I thought just getting a teejet wand would be simple as swapping it out

It's possible you could find some adapters for the hose/gun but tbh its going to be far easier to just cut the hose, measure it, and buy a hose bib/wand with the same dimensions. 1/4 and 3/8 wand hose are very common. After a lot of digging this is what I am doing. The 3/8 BSPP combined with the janky plastic tube wands makes me want to cut it off and do it right haha

It is FAR harder to find a good tank with a perfect wand then a perfect wand screwed onto a decent tank.

The only real downside to that wand is that it isn't curved. You can add a 45 to the end tho if you plan to use it for lawn. Lots of options, CF Valve, check valves, nozzles vs quick connect nozzles caps, etc. Once you are in 1/4 FPT/MPT you can use common Ace Hardware/Home Depot parts also (as opposed to the BSPP and Teejet 11/16 threads).

These may help you:

I really need to brush up on my plumbing lingo lol Diameter hosing and all that confuses me most times. Lol but from what I gather, you're saying cut the hose attached to my sprayer currently, buy a wand that fits said hose?

The only thing I can chime in on it that most chemicals reccomend 1 gallon per 1000/sqft carrier liquid. So you'll likely have to mix two batches to cover your property. To me that would justify getting a 4 gallon backpack sprayer.
Also thought about that, but also it wouldn't be used much. I often wonder if the Scotts sprayer I have is good enough, just don't know. Also what I'll wind up doing is marking off 1000sqft intervals to make sure it's sprayed properly
