Met up with an old friend this wknd. He was a golf course superintendent for years and now a rep for siteone. We got to talking about suggestions for our new home build in a year or so. I was contemplating going bermuda but he highly recommended Diamond Zoysia over anything else. Sounds like its used on greens and can tolerate being mowed at 1/8"

I currently have Empire at our vacation home and very happy with it. This is the 1st I've heard of Diamond. Anyone have this variety?

The clemson golf coruse installed diamond greens a few years back. They had some shade covered greens and couldn't install hybrid bermudas. I have never seen it for residential. I like the zorro I put down a few year ago. It works well a very low heights and I use it for a backyard go area.

If you hunt around, trinity zoysia is the best extra fine blade zoysia. Its a fairly new variety and hard to find since golf courses are buying it all up.
