This is a review of the curlex 1 erosion blankets. I did a mazama reno last year and had 2 steep hills and a runoff area where i used the erosion blankets. Ultimately the blankets held the seed better and also held the tenacity in place better as well as you can see by the severe poa outbreak surrounding the blanket strips. I wish i had done the entire yard. Better germination. Less weeds. Less washout as i has severe washout and seeded multiple times in the non blanket areas. If you are doing a reno i would absolutely use these blankets on slopes or if you anticipate thunderstorms or washout. The blankets dont need to be removed and that was a concern as they seemed puffy. Totally broke down by spring

Very much agree. I used them (Curlex 1) pretty much everywhere when I seeded close to an acre. Kept everything exactly where it needed to stay and prevented any soil erosion from some strong storms. I will note that there were a few spots where I didn't stake it down as well as I should have and paid for it a few times when I mowed. Didn't hurt the mower, but cleaning the mower deck wasn't fun. Mind have all biodegraded and it's been 20 months now. Definitely worth the investment when it's called for.
