I’ve searched through this forum for information on this seed and have found only bits and pieces of information scattered through 900 response threads.

I ordered this seed from outside pride and it arrived in a bag labeled “Major League Seed” with no information other than the brand name printed on the bag and a small paper card with Outside Pride’s description of its contents sewed on to the bottom.

I am curious of results others have had using this seed or if I should be skeptical, their website (outside pride) seemed very legitimate but receiving a bag of seed under an entirely different branding seems very suspect. I googled it and found the manufacturer of Major League to be either Bailey Seed or Premier Pacific, Bailey lists no like seed blends (90% fescue, 10% bluegrass spf 30) on their site. They list 2 of the individual fescues on their site but not the bluegrass species which partially led me to make the purchase I did. Premier lists it as a rye grass blend.

I’m attaching the card and a picture of the bag, I opened it from the bottom so I used a picture I found on google.

Thanks,
Cory

While these are more of a typical cool season it can be used in warm season regions. I'm in Tampa and have some SPF-30 in a parkway that get a lot of afternoon shade and it grow just fine. I'm not sure what they sent you but its probably something they are using if they ran out of the other type of seed. They tend to do that more often than not.

I'd suggest sending it back to Amazon if thats where you got it from...I never buy from them directly.

I bought directly from them. I sent an email and will attach the response I got. I’m seeding my backyard with that since it gets a lot of shade, still trying to determine what to do out front, but about a third of it is down now so I guess we’ll see what happens 😂😂

Looks about what I expected. They sell all their see through amazon which probably holds them to little higher standard than they do themselves. The SPF-30 I got worked well...I got about 80% + of the seed to germinate but pre-soaked it for 5 days so it wouldn't take more than 7 days to start growing
