Cheap homemade drag, 8'

Well, it's time to do some sand leveling and I didn't want to splurge on an expensive drag and I don't have the welding skills to make one out of iron so I spent $30 and this is the result. I don't have a huge area so I'll be pulling it by hand. The pegs are to add weight plates as needed.

Looks nice. My only advice would be turning the 2x4's on edge like a screed board to keep them from flexing.

That would've made assembly a LOT easier….🤦🏼‍♂️

It's going to flex and possibly warp the way you built it but I think it will be less prone to flipping over on you while using it the way you built it. Did you do pocket holes?

Another cheap option that works surprisingly well is getting a wire shelf from Lowes/HD and putting a single 2x4 in the lip to tie your rope to. Put a couple of small bricks on top and Boom! Bob's your uncle.
