Brown Edges new sod

A little over 4 weeks since I installed new KBG, mowed about 3 times so far (every week) for the past 3 weeks. The growth has been very consistent. Been watering regularly by hose manually for about 15 each morning.

From the beginning i've noticed that the edges have been brown. (is it possible that I have been using the weedwacker too close when edging?)

Should I be fertilizing at this point? Also, the NJ weather has just stared to get over 83 degrees daily..... So i've kicked up the watering to twice a day.

Looking for tips on how to get these brown edges looking green again.

Any time that there is a sort of "triangle" shape cut of sod like that, especially in that situation, where there is concrete surrounding the sod on 2/3 sides, there will be excessive moisture removal at the apex of the point. This is why it is not recommended to cut "slivers" of sod. Turf is happiest when surrounded by more turf, and when you cut small, diminutive pieces of sod, drying out of the root zone happens much more quickly than say a 18"-20" wide by 60" long roll of sod. This has been the case for me on both of the sod installs I have done. Also, as aforementioned, grass of any type, sod or otherwise, immediately adjacent to asphalt or concrete, will dry out quicker because of the heat radiating off the said surface. Just give those areas some extra H2O and you will be okay. Maybe a light dose of N soon will keep you on the right track as well (absolutely no more than .5 lb N/1000ft^2 in the heat of the summer). Sod normally needs fed about a month after install, as the nutrients available in the soil still attached to the sod will be depleted by then.

Hope this helps.
