Are you looking to boost pressure for irrigation? You would need/want a booster pump. I know Harbor Freight sells some and would get the job done. The fancier you get the more expensive you get. I added a booster pump to my in ground irrigation and it has made a world of difference but it was little pricey :)

I have 40psi on a good day 5 gal min at the end of 100’ hose.
My 2 sprinklers are falling a little short in coverage so I added a 3 and the coverage really went to shit …..
Currently my only option is the 1/2” feed spigot coming out of the house.
I called the town and they said 40 psi is about as good as it’s gonna get.
So even if I were to pipe off the main line after the meter, I’m only gaining a quarter of an inch and I doubt I’ll gain any pressure.
The price to add a meter to the main line coming into the house, which I believe is one and a half inches was absolutely astronomical
