Any of you have any issues with using Blu Lock fittings for an underground system?

I researched Blu Lock when deciding on what to use for my sprinkler system, for me the biggest problem with Blu Lock is none of the major hardware parts retailers in my area carry it; everything would have needed to be ordered and needing even simple connectors could have set me back days waiting for the delivery. So, I recommend you ensure that you have a reliable local supplier before taking the plunge especially if it is a big project. I also was unable to find Blu Lock piping sizes larger than 1" so if you have long runs and need larger pipes Blu Lock appears to top out around 1" ID.

I was also concerned about its durability undergound, Blu Lock, Poly, and Pex are all softer than PVC so an errant shovel or other accidental contact with the piping later would possibly puncture the softer piping types. In the end I personally went with PVC.

As a plumber by trade, I am hesitant to use push connect fittings for many reasons.
I would prefer to solvent weld, or use pvc “glue”. A 3/4” tee for blu lock even on sale is over $2 per fitting. Where as a schedule 40 pvc 3/4” tee is less than a dollar.

Blu Lock has great marketing around their fittings but I felt the same way, push fittings feel like they are less durable than even barb fittings with crimp rings. I am all for technology advances but I still don't trust those type of fittings.

Also, like you said, the total price for my project would have been 2-3x more costly that's assuming that I even found a local supplier.
