Birds eating seed in bare spots

Overseeded cool season mixed mutt of lawn with GCI Cool Blue after an app of Tenacity to (hopefully and eventually) kill off all the fine fescue and best grasses.

Trying to get more KBG/TTTF into the lawn.

Been 14 days and most of it started coming in with the TTTF germinating.

Freakin birds ate most of my seeds in the bare areas (even though was covered with light peatmoss/compost)

GCI is sold out of pretty much all seeds so can't get a new bag.

Trying to figure out what to do next to once again, attack all the huge bare spots.

-Would you go with a different seed blend (TTTF/KBG) available from someone else and throw down more seed?

-Go with a big box store cool season mix (since lawn is already a mutt) ?

-Or just redo everything in the spring (this time taking care to ward off birds)

-Maybe dormant seed some KBG blend in the winter so birds won't eat it instead?

Frustrated..lol

I have brids stopping by 5pm every day and take 2 hrs to eat whatever they can.

Now I start the sprinker for 30 seconds every 5 mins and that has kept the birds away.
With COVID, I've been staring out my window while working, and have been using the sprinkler tactic as well. Maybe just an old fashioned scarecrow? That was going to be my next move.
