i am in knoxville and have had a lush bermuda yard for 10 years..... except for this year.

for some reason my all the rain we had in Feb here didn't run off like other times, so my entire front yard looks rough. i did exactly what i always do
i apply 40-0-5, lime and milorganite a few weeks ago to help get it out of dorm.

i know it is early but i am worried, i have some green up but not a lot. i have more brown patches with noting because of the rain than i ever have

i'll post pictures later

i'll move my back yard which is fescue to the cool season grass forum

I think it's the cold temps that have really set things back.
After this weekend, the SE should start waking up.
I'm a bit south of Knoxville, and I had a lot of greenup weeks ago but have had basically no vertical growth. I'm assuming that's the temps, but thankfully it seems to have just hit the pause button and hasn't actually caused any damage.

I'm right there with you @knoxvillelawnguy. I've been noticing some yellowing in my bermuda, along with very slow vertical growth. I did some research on the yellowing and read that over watering could be the cause. And with the amount of rain we've had lately, I can believe it. Also, we've had a very mild spring so far this year and I'm hoping that's the reason for the slow growth. I added some pics of the yellowing.

I live about 3 hrs down the road from you in the Greenville, SC area. Having the same problems...didn't put down fall preM either (idiot)so I have loads of poa annua that's just thriving. No summer weeds to speak of really yet thanks to the early spring preM. These temps are killing me this late in the spring. Anyone else's yard just looking "blah" right now? Really need the bermuda to spread out and thicken. 3"+ of rain yesterday, may need to put out some fungicide too...

How well does granular fert stay in the soil after heavy rain? Does it just sit waiting to be used by the grass when the 80s hit?
