Battery comparisons?

If I were to purchase leaf blower that has an optional 20V battery or a 40V battery, what would be the difference?
Does a higher volt battery offer more power, or just a longer usage time before it needs recharging?

A 20V 5.0 aH (100 watt hours) battery holds a similar amount of energy/power as a 40V 2.5aH battery would. There are some more complex differences depending on the application but in general, all other things being equal, a 40V system will perform noticeably better than 20V with tools that draw a lot of power due to fewer losses in the electrical system.
Volts are your power and Ah(amp hour) is the runtime. A battery could be a 2Ah, 4Ah, 9Ah, etc. The higher the Ah number on the battery the longer the runtime.
As long as the voltage is the same, yes. But there is lots of confusion out there when comparing 20V tool systems to 40+V.
