I want to try using baking soda (sodium bicaronate) mix for moss control in a 4 gallon tank sprayer - how much should I mix in per gallon? My plan is to use this to use in addition to an initial application of Moss Out (area with heavier moss) & Turf Builder Triple Action For Moss Control for general control. I'm going to wait a few more days to see the results of my initial application before applying. Thoughts on mix amount.

Why sodium bicarbonate if you are using moss out?

Is the area shady? Do you know your PH?
Because it's way cheaper over time vs. moss out. Also, I feel like I can get a better more direct application vs. a granular application of Moss Out. Another option is to use the liquid version and mix with water in sprayer.

PH a few years ago was around 6. I need to take a new soil test. It's been a few years. Area is semi-shaded. Since 2014, I've taken down a bunch of trees so went from complete shade to semi-shade. Moss mostly comes back on area of property that seems to have good drainage - it's on a slight incline and gets steeper closer to edge of property. That area is also where my septic field is. Not sure if that contributes to general mossyness.

I would not apply sodium to my lawn. It does kill moss but could also kill the grass.

If the moss keep coming back, you need to find out why. Shady, wet, low PH, low nutrients, etc.

6 is not low PH, but I would still get a soil test from a real lab, then post the test along with pictures of the area.

I think a soil test is a good idea. I'll go through UCONN again. They offer Modified Morgan test for $15 per sample.

I looked at a few youtube vids and they mention baking soda is fine to use and kills moss. I'm hoping somethat has experience can chime in otherwise, I could test a small area that can be re-grown in the fall if the grass is killed off. I do realize I have a larger problem. Hopefully, the soil test(s) can help out here.

sodium bicarbonate is an alkaline so it is phytotoxic which will alter/inhibit plant growth and seedling germination. Also repeated use can raise the pH to a harmful level in the area.

Its great for killing moss, but if you want grass to grow there you are probably shooting yourself in the foot.

the reasons for moss is thin turf dues to compacted soil, poor drainage, low soil pH, or not enough sunlight. So look at possible solutions are aeration, adding lime to raise pH, improve drainage and or improve irrigation practice, fertilize what turf is there and use proper HOC, remove trees or prune limbs.
